Black Sheep Software is an independent studio for organisations that value clear thinking and careful execution. We bring design and engineering together from the beginning, working closely with the people who know the problem best — fewer handovers, better decisions, software made to endure.
The owners
Founder
Chris builds and ships. Black Sheep Software's product line — Nextsole, NextGame, NextChapter, Astera and Clearpath HR — is his own proof of the studio's approach: real software, built end to end and running in production, not sitting in a deck.
Co-founder
Trudy works at the intersection of organisational systems and human behaviour. Her background spans HR leadership and quality and governance in safety-critical environments, and her ongoing PhD research examines how culture shapes outcomes inside organisations. She brings that same diagnostic thinking to Black Sheep Software: most problems aren't a strategy problem, they're an observation problem — and better questions lead to better decisions.
